Job Details:
Responsibilities will include:
Performs clerical duties including maintaining electronic patient files, associated logs, use of Laboratory Information System (Cerner), Microsoft office as per department protocols.
Provides courteous, efficient telephone coverage for pathology department.
Transcribes pathology and cytology dictation.
Receives and processes incoming and outgoing pathology specimens, blocks, and slides.
Demonstrates knowledge and openly reinforces established hospital and laboratory safety protocols.
Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent, Certificate program, or relevant experience required.
Experience working in a pathology office is highly preferred.
Medical terminology knowledge.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Cerner Lab Information System preferred.
Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
Posted Salary Range:
USD $21.33 - USD $29.86 /Hr.
