The Registered Nurse (RN) prepares equipment andassists physician during examinations and treatments. The Registered Nurse(RN) administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, andmonitors patient vital signs. The Registered Nurse (RN) observes and maintainsrecords on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.The Registered Nurse (RN) participates as primary nurse, associate nurse, ateam member or team leader in the planning and implementing of patient care.The Registered Nurse (RN) directs and assists in carrying out safe aseptictechnique and procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) offers leadership anddirection to all support staff within department.The medical-surgical unit focuses on GI. Many of our patients have non-surgical abdominal pain, cirrhosis, hepatitis, non-surgical bowelobstructions, intractable nausea and vomiting, cholelithiasis, acutepancreatitis, diarrhea, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, diverticulitis,and upper and lower GI bleeds. We also receive patients from surgery of lesscomplicated cases and medical-surgical overflow. This is a fast-paced unitwith lots to offer! We are a unit that values teamwork above all.**_Requirements:_** * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
