Job description Acton Medical Associates, PC is a busy primary care practice for adult and pediatric medicine.
We are seeking a full-time Medical Technologist to join our team.
The primary focus of the Medical Technologist is processing specimen, performing tests, and accurately reporting result including Chemistry, Hematology and Microbiology testing and Phlebotomy.
Our Medical Technologist also must:
Follow proper procedures for specimen handline and processingAccurately perform testsAdhere to lab quality control policiesPerform instrument calibrations and maintenance as neededAccurately report patient test results with proper documentationIdentify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting, correct or report such problems via the appropriate channelsFollow HIPAA and confidentiality laws and company guidelinesBe able to work independently, operate sophisticated equipment, solve problems, and know when it is appropriate to ask for assistanceQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory scienceOR
Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
