We are seeking a Medical Oncologist who will focus on the development of translational research and clinical trials for medical oncology as a key leader in the Experimental Therapeutics Program.
The selected candidate will play a supporting role in advancing our research efforts and translating scientific discoveries into novel treatments for cancer patients. The medical oncologist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Experimental Therapeutics Program of Cedars-Sinai Cancer including guiding the Phase I Unit and all inpatient and outpatient Phase I oncology clinical research. The medical oncologist will oversee and focus on translational and early development studies and will play a major role in developing clinical research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC.) The medical oncologist will collaborate with CSMC and Cedars-Sinai (CS) Cancer colleagues to develop the highest-level early phase developmental therapy research to demonstrate improved outcomes for patients.
The selected candidate will have programmatic, clinical, administrative, academic and research oversight of the program, while maintaining an oncology practice within a specialty focus area. The medical oncologist will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Cedars-Sinai Cancer. The selected candidate will also participate in educational, research, community outreach and engagement activities that are in alignment with departmental/divisional and Cedars-Sinai Cancer priorities.

Our compensation philosophyWe offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees.  The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.  This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.Pay Range: $383,776 - $680,090 total cash compensation.
#doxQualificationsThe successful candidate has the following:
• Five years of experience in Phase I clinical trial design and execution, with a track record of publications and presentations in the field.
• A track record of, and dedication to, excellence in patient care.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues, organizations and leaders.
• Eligible for appointment to the Associate Professor or Professor rank in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Professoriate.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine and in the subspecialty of Medical Oncology or Hematology.
