The Meditech Analyst troubleshoots, analyzes, develops and maintains Meditech's non-clinical applications and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assisting users with issues received through Help Desk. Creation and maintenance of applications and small department specific support projects as assigned. Interdepartmental support including the analysis and integration of systems with Hospital initiatives within the confines of the IS Department. Participate and guide the design, development, testing, implementation and on-going maintenance of new and existing administrative/financial applications with a focus on Meditech Advanced Clinical systems. Provides on-going support and maintenance of LIVE applications including direct user support (in person and/or over the phone) during posted support hours. Acts as the liaison with other IT groups or business departments for system, interfaces troubleshooting and support. Manages and executes quality-testing efforts for projects, enhancements, and/or maintenance. Perform user training and be available to assist as needed in system implementations. Collaborate with IT, data engineering, security and compliance teams to ensure patient data privacy and adherence to regulatory requirements during the migration Assist management in establishing reporting requirements and developing reports. Shares on-call duties with other staff within Information Systems department. Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior Mentors and coaches less experienced Analysts and shares best practice on workflows. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, clinical application software is required. 5-7 years of previous experience with information systems. Experience with hospital environment preferred. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in MEDITECH Applications. Experience with software implementations and/or LIVE application support required.
Experience with user training preferred. Ability to self-manage assuming full ownership of overall outcomes from start to finish.
Ability to manage workload and competing priorities in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Meditech report writing or programming (NPR) experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge and understanding of HL7 standards and implementation preferred.
Understanding of organizational processes and standard operating procedure (SOPs)
Advance knowledge of MS Office suite skills including Word, Excel and Outlook . Strong customer relations with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to recognize and strictly protect confidential and sensitive information with upmost strict discretion when sharing or disseminating information.
Positive attitude and professionalism on a daily basis. Willingness to work non-standard and/or extended hours as necessary.
