Join our team at FLACRA and make a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. As an Outpatient Counselor, you will work closely with clients to develop personalized, strength-based recovery plans. FLACRA's outpatient clinics provide a wide range of services, including evaluations, individual and group counseling, family and youth therapy, relapse prevention, recovery planning, and aftercare services. You'll also collaborate with family members and peers to help clients navigate their recovery journey, fostering a holistic and supportive approach.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a relevant field with licensure or provisional licensure eligibility within 6 months of hire.Valid NYS Driver's License.Preferred licensure: LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or LCAT.Key Responsibilities: Provide direct services to clients through individual, family, and group counseling.Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and create appropriate treatment plans.Deliver therapeutic services, including individual, conjoint, family, and group therapy.Manage client intakes and caseloads with self-direction, using consultation when necessary to resolve diagnostic or treatment issues.Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations.Participate in community presentations, training programs, and general staff meetings.Provide training and guidance to new staff and interns as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills/Experience: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse individuals, staff, and community service providers.Knowledge of local behavioral health services.Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time management skills.Ability to remain calm and focused during crisis situations.Familiarity with electronic health records (E-Record).About Us:
