How you make a differenceThe Mental Health Professional provides clinical services under the direction of the MH Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor or MH Director to youth involved in the criminal justice system. This role provides mental health consultation and training to facility staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy, aimed at reducing maladaptive behavior and promoting healthy psychological functioning.Deliver crisis intervention services to youth, consulting with facility staff on treatment concerns and coordinating mental health follow-ups.Collaborate with patients and staff to establish, review, and update treatment goals, while monitoring and documenting progress and outcomes.Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and reports, ensuring adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.Work with psychiatry staff on mental health monitoring, participate in staff meetings and training, and contribute to specialized clinical services or program development as needed.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.Experience Coursework and professional experience that indicate knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.Experience working with youth preferred.Licenses/Certifications LMSW, LPC, or similar licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board.Must maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required.We are an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerWe celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
