They have an immediate need for an MEP Superintendent for a long-term construction project in Hopkinsville, KY . S ummary Working onsite with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing field crews and supervising subcontractors in the construction of an EV Battery recycling facility. Working onsite with the union field crews and supervising subcontractors in the construction of the project. Supervisory responsibilities, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsibilities may include assisting with interviewing and training employees. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage several Foreman on conducting work safely, productively, and focusing on quality. Interface with on-site crews to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction in support of the overall project schedule. Ensure project activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule (Primavera P6). Provide technical support for construction efforts including participation in planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, etc. Assist with controlling job costs and production budgets. Set a Safety 24/7 culture for your crews. Assists the Project Manager in creating the Primavera P6 project schedule. Conduct pre-planning and goal setting with crews. Oversee costs associated with your work items. Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling, and material needs for crews. Coordinate and schedule subcontractors. Education and Experience: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical experience progressing through the ranks as a Journeyman to a Foreman to a Superintendent. 6+ years of similar construction Field Management experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied self-performing trade disciplines. Ability to ensure responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.
