The Frozen Category Specialist will work with the designated Category Manager to support and maintain our brand and customer experience by driving product sales through price optimization, promotional planning, assortment productivity, cost negotiations and product placement. We are looking for an individual that is opportunistic, customer-focused and that is capable of partnering with cross-functional teams (ie. Supply Chain, Planning, Business Development and Digital Merchandising) to surpass financial objectives. It will be imperative that this person demonstrates the problem-solving and analytical skills necessary to thrive in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
\n ResponsibilitiesEstablish a deep understanding of goPuff's business, internal processes, and overall assortmentMonitor performance across multiple categories and classes and analyze data to create initiativesConduct pricing analyses both nationally and locally to ensure key product lines are represented effectively in all markets and margin targets are metAssist Category Manager in selecting, pricing and positioning of category productsManage promotion plan calendar set by Category Manager + Suppliers, work cross-functionally to implement promotional plans and track performanceHelp determine product assortment nationally and locallyPartner with Supply Chain and Planning departments to maximize revenue and financial targets within respective product classificationsTrack, measure and report financial impact of initiatives against financial targetsMaintain costing, pricing, rebates, contracts and product catalogue informationUtilize external resources to stay updated on category trends and competitive market data QualificationsBachelor's degree required (Marketing, Finance, Business, or Economics is a plus)1-3 years of related experienceMust have a knowledge of Merchandising, Marketing, Financial Planning and overall Supply ChainCapable of taking initiative, ownership and accountability for the businessAbility to react quickly with a strong sense of urgencyAffinity for using research, syndicated data, and consumer specific insights to inform creative and productive decision-making as it pertains to assortment and category managementMust possess a demonstrable ability to navigate a wide spectrum of product lines specific to our customerMust have strong computer skills – proficiency with excel is requiredExperience in convenience or CPG is a plusMust be extremely detail oriented and organizedMust have effective communication skills, both written and verbalAwareness of our current brand and product mix and initial insight to opportunities
