Role Objective: Award-winning wine and spirits importer Broadbent Selections is seeking an energetic sales dynamo to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic. States covered are DE, MD, DC, VA, WV and NC. We are looking for competitive, open-minded candidates with exceptional listening and sales skills to represent our dynamic and diverse portfolio. And you can balance day to day street call needs with higher level strategic plans and execution. Role Expectations and Measures: ALL Meet and exceed annual territory/brand depletion and revenue goals. Engage and motivate our distributor partners at all levels to meet / exceed their mutually agreed-upon annual/quarterly goals. • Have a continuous market presence to drive business and increase sales with existing and new customers of the company. Utilize existing relationships with key retail/restaurant buyers and consistently work to develop new ones. • Act as an ambassador for our suppliers and Broadbent Selections Brands by having an in-depth understanding of all brands. • Using our internal and other reporting platforms, utilize data to create regional sales plans and strategically and successfully manage the territory including distributor inventory pars/suggested orders as well as planning and executing any and all distributor sales meetings, work-withs, wine dinners, supplier visits, and all other trade/consumer events. • Conduct quarterly market reviews with distributor management by region. • Suggest and implement smart and effective pricing, incentives and programming with cross-functional management teams. • Execute all national account programs; work with VP of National Accounts to grow that channel• Demonstrate general business management and acumen including ability to meet deadlines, offer timely and thorough follow-ups, communicate clearly and professionally, comprehend strategic spending-to-goal/budget management, and respect internal processes and timing (billbacks, expense reports)• Be a beacon of professionalism and positivity, possess outstanding organizational and time management abilities, and possess resilience, tenacity and patience. Technology Proficiencies/Requirements for Consideration: • Minimum 5 years of experience in the wine industry • Demonstrate a proven ability to sell • Passion for wine/wine industry • The ideal candidate resides in DC, VA or NC.• Possess strong communication skills (listening, written and verbal) • Thrive both independently and in a team environment • Be adaptive to change • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Power Point) • Hold a valid Drivers License • BA/BS degree preferred • Ability to lift up to 50lbs Salary range of $70,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience.
