Overview: SimVentions is seeking an ideal candidate to support the Dahlgren Unmanned Control Systems Branch (H62) and fill the Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) Mission Autonomy Software Developer position.
Must be willing to work some from NSWCDD.
Travel: 10% - Occasional CONUS travel Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements: United States Citizenship3-5 years of software development experienceExperience in C++ and PythonExperience with VS Code, JIRA, Confluence, and GitLabExperience with Linux Environments (Ubuntu / RedHat)Experience with agile software development practicesAbility to be a motivated, self-starterAbility and desire to quickly learn new skills or grow knowledge areas Responsibilities: This position requires gaining technical understanding of the content of the existing baseline, the ability to work closely with the H62 Software Development team and the rest of the Dahlgren team to identify and prioritize software development tasks, and the ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications.
Preferred Skills and Experience: • Familiar with Data Distribution Service (DDS) • Familiar with service-oriented architecture • Familiar with DEVSECOPS environment • Familiar with TAK product line, specially WinTAK• Knowledge of military standards and specifications • Knowledge of Weapon Systems and Command & Control systems Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is desired Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $109,000 (USD).
This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
