Overview:
We are seeking a Mid/Senior Civil Structural Engineer for our Federal Services Group.
This role will develop calculations and designs for equipment mounting, foundations, and pipe supports.

From reading design drawings to performing site walkdowns, you'll be at the forefront of problem-solving, ensuring cost-effective resolutions and compliance with industry codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Our team supports our federal clients to solve a wide range of critical engineering problems.
Our work covers both nuclear and non-nuclear facilities as well as facility-related infrastructure.
Services range from full-scale design of new or replacement facilities to life cycle management to maximize their useful life and availability to assisting with the decommissioning of facilities that have reached the end of their useful life. Design and analysis of changes to existing power plants as well as new plant systemsDevelop Equipment mounting, foundation design and pipe support calculations and designsSupport of engineering design and analysis projects for the power industryPerform work requiring the application of basic technical principles, theories, standards and concepts.
This will include reading and understanding design drawings and technical specifications as necessary to support preparation of project deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, and engineering evaluationsPerform reviews, assemble and prepare design modification packagesDevelop specifications of structural componentsPerform site walkdowns to identify design solutions and develop cost-effective problem resolutionsPerform static equivalent and dynamic analysis of structures for seismic loadsGain familiarity with and application of industry codes and government regulationsDesign of pipe supports, structures, etc., (at nuclear power plants is desired)Interface with other staff engineers as well as engineers working out of our offices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum 3 years with power system design experience for mid level engineerMinimum 7 years with power system design experience for senior level engineerDemonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desiredKnowledge of discipline specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production softwareProficient in Word and ExcelFamiliar with the International Building code and building code designGood writing, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teamsFamiliar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approachesMust be a U.S. Citizen#LI-SH7 Salary Range The salary range for this full-time position is below.
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Pay Range:
USD $78,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
