JOB DESCRIPTION
An art instructor is responsible for planning and implementing art lessons, providing guidance and feedback to
students, and fostering creativity and artistic skills development.
They create a supportive and engaging
learning environment where students can explore different art mediums, techniques, and styles.
Art instructors
also assess student progress, offer constructive criticism, and encourage individual artistic expression.
Additionally, they may organize art exhibitions, collaborate with other educators, and stay updated on current
trends in the art world to inspire and educate their students effectively.

Requirements
SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Requires ability to work effectively with staff and students.
•Predictable and reliable attendance.
•Interacts with other professionals regarding specific student needs (e.g., teachers, psychologists,
physical therapists, and speech therapists).
•Plan and execute art lessons that cater to students' diverse skill levels and interests
•Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their artistic abilities
•Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
•Assess student progress and development, and adjust teaching methods as needed
•Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into cross-curricular projects and activities
•Stay current on art trends, techniques, and tools to enhance teaching practices and inspire students
•Organize and facilitate art exhibitions or showcases to celebrate student work and promote artistic
achievements.
