Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Casual Mine/Mill Clerk
Rotation Schedule will be 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-site
Reporting to the Advisor, Human Resources, the Mill/Mine Clerk is accountable for inputting data into the computerized maintenance management system, travel system and payroll system; maintaining equipment files, provides document control, as well as providing general clerical support to the Mine, Mill and Services group.

\n Responsibilities:Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresMaintain accurate timekeeping records for all non-exempt employees' time including compiling information received from supervisors, inputting of time to appropriate work orders/charge codes, corrects entry errors and follows up on anomalies, preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports to identify discrepanciesReceive and input travel information to and from Site into the Travel System for all non-exempt employees. When necessary, confirm questionable travel details with supervisor. Accurately review and remove names on daily flight manifests based on the travel requests submitted by Supervisors. On occasion, post company accommodation roster to room forecast to keep accurate camp countsGenerate Travel Request Form for visitors in support to the Warehousing/Purchasing groups Maintain and file equipment operation records such as Walk Arounds, MWO's (maintenance work orders), Drill Bit tracking, other reference documents and provides overall document controlProvide clerical and administrative services for Mine, Mill and Services departments as required including but limited to typing a variety of correspondence, reports, memorandums, notices, etc. from a variety of source documents or handwritten notes, maintaining stationary supplies, booklet binding, photocopying, creating mailing labelsProvide switchboard duties to HR, Mine, Mill and Services departments through answering incoming calls to the property and forwarding to the appropriate extensionDistribute incoming and outgoing mailOn occasion, assists with packing rooms for employees that have left the property to ensure employees receive their personal belongings in a timely manner Assist other departments with clerical overflow as requiredPerform other related duties as assigned Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentEntry level clerical position, requiring some exposure to various office practicesExcellent writing, editing, communication, organization and interpersonal and customer service skills requiredAble to handle high level of confidentiality and common sense regarding employee informationProficiency and demonstrated experience with administrative software applications (Word, PowerPoint) Able to work independently and provide excellent customer serviceBasic knowledge of administering clerical office practices and procedures highly desirable
