About the RoleThe Press Maintenance Millwright is responsible for maintaining and repairing production and non-production equipment in the press shop, which includes presses, transfers, automation, destackers, blanking lines, cranes, scrap conveyor, as well as tool room equipment.
Your ResponsibilitiesMaintaining press shop production and non-production equipmentTroubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsPerform daily routine and scheduled PM checks on equipment assigned to youKeep equipment assigned to you in clean, safe and good working conditionsPerform major repairs and overhauls of our equipment as needed, which requires overtime work, long hours, and willingness to work weekends and holidaysRespond to production calls to repair issues causing downtime or quality concernsWho we are looking forAssociate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be able to read and understand blueprints and ability to use metric systemStrong fabrication or machining or mechanical skills are requiredWelding skills & cutting torch skills are requiredMust be able to work with minimum or no supervisionYour preferred qualificationsHydraulic and/or pneumatic system knowledge would be beneficialBasic computer skills are beneficialWhat we offerAt Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
