Millwright Full-time DAYS **Company Overview:** Go Fast Manufacturing is a leading manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality products for our customers. **Position Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our team at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail. The Millwright will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our machinery and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Minimal travel may be required to install or repair equipment onsite at customer locations. 90% of this position is onsite coordinating parts and assembly of machinery. The remaining 10% would be for travel to customer sites for installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
**Responsibilities:** 1.Install, dismantle, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
2. Emphasis on assembly of equipment utilizing engineering blueprints
3. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
4. Troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement effective solutions
5. Align and adjust machinery and equipment to maintain proper functionality and efficiency.
6. Utilize hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments to perform tasks.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
8. Collaborate with other departments including engineering to support operational goals and initiatives.
9.. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in millwright techniques and technologies.
**Qualifications:** 1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in millwrighting or a related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a millwright in a manufacturing environment, with a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machinery and equipment.
3. Proficiency in reading blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
5. Experience with welding, fabrication, and precision machining techniques.
6. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
9. Willingness to work overtime as needed and to have minimal travel to support production schedules and address emergency maintenance issues.
10. Commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols and regulations.
**Physical Requirements:** - Ability to lift and move heavy machinery and equipment, up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes, noise, and vibrations.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and climb for extended periods.
