Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for a Maintenance Millwright to be based out of Hebron, OH.
Reporting to the Manager Production Control, this person will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery to support facility operations.
What you'll do: Adhere to all Life-Saving Rules, including Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocolsDemonstrates Atkore Core Behaviors - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and ExcellenceInstall, maintain, modify, and repair all mechanical systems and associated equipmentInspect, test, and troubleshoot components of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, and associated piping; mechanical power presses and associated support equipment; and hydraulic and pneumatic systemsUtilize blueprints and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned projectsAlign and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operationMust maintain production standards to meet internal and external customer demandResponsible for the accurate completion of all workSupport 5S initiatives in assigned work areasWork alone, quickly and competently, to complete tasks. What you'll bring: High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or technical certification preferredElectrical certification with verifiable proofFive-year minimum millwright, maintenance and/or mechanical experienceJourneyman classification preferredAbility to learn to use and maintain equipment and machineryFlexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekendsRoll-Forming technologiesSound sensing, frequency-controlled drive systemsLiquid-cooled and high voltage spot weldingLean concept sustainment & problem-solving skillsSafety action orientated & LOTO trainedStrong math skillsExperience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferredDocumented evidence of prior forklift experience and ability to be Atkore certifiedMust be able to clearly communicate operational information to co-workers and managementAble to stand for long periods up to twelve hoursMust be able to visually and audibly scan the equipment and material for indication of improper or unsafe operation Work Environment: Associates are frequently exposed to moving mechanical partsAll production jobs require the use of personal protective equipmentWhile the facility is ventilated, the conditions in the plant are typically warmer and more humid than the temperature outsideThe facility is heated in the winterThe noise level in the facility has been tested and hearing protection is required in all manufacturing areasThe air has been tested for particulates and various chemical hazards.
