Zero Harm for our employees, Community and Environment are our highest priority.PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:Mine Operations Supervisor helps manages a crew of approximately sixty plus equipment operators and all associated mining-related activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Proactively coordinates activities and resources in conjunction with other departments in order to comply with priorities and overall objectives of the mine plan.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Follow safe work procedures and best practices.Assists in managing and supervising a Mine Operations crew.Support and assist the Senior Supervisors in their work.Maintain a clean work environment.Train others.Participate in job planning.Participate in meetings and discussions. Be a role model to others in safe behavior.Be willing and enthusiastic. Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:High School Diploma or Equivalent.A minimum of 3 to 5 years mine operations or construction experience preferably in an open pit mine environment or large earthmoving excavation environment.1-2 years of supervisory experience.Valid Driver's License.PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:A BS degree in Mine Engineering or other related technical field preferred. Equivalent years of related experience can substitute for the Engineering degree requirement. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Occasionally for training and development.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Handle disciplinary action within the operations department.Is responsible for quality and quantity of work performed by subordinates. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Heavy: Exerting 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly.
