They're seeking a skilled Project Director to lead the lifecycle of large-scale mining projects, from feasibility studies through execution, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and client satisfaction. Job Summary: As Project Director, you will oversee the full project lifecycle for mining initiatives in both base and precious metals sectors, guiding projects from feasibility and planning through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout. This role requires expertise in EPCM project delivery, a strong background in both base and precious metals mining, and the capability to manage complex, multi-national projects while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities: Feasibility and Strategic Planning: Lead feasibility studies, initial project scoping, and cost-benefit analysis to ensure projects are viable, sustainable, and aligned with client objectives. Lifecycle Project Management: Manage all phases of EPCM projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, and commissioning, delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. Stakeholder and Client Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact with clients, local authorities, contractors, and internal teams, building strong relationships and aligning project goals and expectations. Team Leadership and Development: Lead multi-disciplinary teams across geographical locations, promoting collaboration, ensuring high performance, and mentoring team members in best practices and project standards. Financial Oversight and Cost Control: Ensure robust financial performance by managing budgets, tracking costs, and implementing cost control measures, achieving profitability while meeting contractual obligations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree or PMP certification preferred). 15+ years of EPCM project management experience in the mining sector, with demonstrated expertise in base and precious metals. Proven track record of managing projects from feasibility through to execution, with successful outcomes in schedule, cost, and quality performance. Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, regulatory compliance, and the unique challenges associated with base and precious metals projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive results and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
