Overview:
Opportunity: Mixologist The Mixologist creates a variety of drinks, and also demonstrates a passion for mixology by creating unique cocktails or creating new recipes for cocktails and experiences for our guests.
This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with guests in an engaging manner.
Extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages and trending cocktails.
Potential Career Path Bartender Mixologist - Outlet Supervisor - Outlet Manager
Essential Job Functions Train other bartenders.
Interact with customers, take orders for drinks and snacks.
Plan and present bar menu.
Check identification of the guest to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol products.
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks as ordered and in compliance with hotel standard drink recipes.
Service Wine and Beer to guests.
Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations accordingly.
Ability to sell or influence others for up selling and suggestive selling.
Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Keep the bar counter and work area neat and clean at all times.
Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refusing any further serving in a polite way.
Maintain liquor inventory and consumption.
Coordinate beverage orders with storeroom clerk Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.
Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per hotel standard.
Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience Comply with all food and beverage regulations Perform Other duties as and when assigned by the hotel management Position Requirements High School diploma/GED Minimum of three years bartending/mixologist experience Bartending certificate preferred TIPS certified a plus Food Sanitation certificate a plus, required within 90 days of employment.
Work Environment and Context Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
