We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsAs an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI scans and take radiographs according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
Performs Magnetic Resonance procedures to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomical images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.You will prepare patients for procedures; providing instructions in order to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxietyYou will complete required documentation on forms, logs, work station and MeditechYou will administer contrast using proper techniqueYou will produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patientsYou will label images and identify according to protocolYou will communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely mannerJob RequirementsExperienceOne – two years' experience as an MRI Technologist - preferredEducationGraduate of an educational program in radiology or MRI accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) OR graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology or MRI OR an American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMIT) degree program OR military training program of equivalent standardsLicenses and CertificationsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policyAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT (MR)) OR certification through the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB) - preferredSt.
