Mri Technologist, Part-Time, Evening Shift

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, performs a variety of MRI procedures and departmental support functions.

Essential Responsibilities: Performs a variety of MRI examinations on patients of all ages, adjusting scanning parameters as necessary.
Identifies pathology and adjusts scanning parameters to provide accurate images.
Performs specialized exams and MR angiograms.
Starts and removes IV lines for contrast studies and responds to IV contrast reactions.
Reviews patient requisitions and performs comprehensive patient screenings.
Identifies and communicates potential dangers associated with MRI procedures.
Reviews and presents completed examinations to radiologists.
Ensures proper film identification and maintains daily patient MRI logs.
Organizes patient care and demonstrates proficiency in computer skills.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum one (1) year of experience as an MRI technologist, OR registry eligible ARRT advanced certification in MRI.
Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program or MRI Accredited Certificate Program.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Certificate.
Basic Life Support and Radiologic Technologist Certification required.
Venipuncture competency check off required within 3 months of hire.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for prolonged periods.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in applicable computer software.
