Job Description Demonstrates proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams for all ages and adhere to safety procedures.
MRI Tech operates the MRI equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and ensures that enough information has been obtained to make a diagnosis, assist in the management of patients and present images to the physician for diagnosis.
Intravenous therapy/contrast selection and injection.
Prepare and enter written documentation as require by the department, such as informed consent.
Float to off-sites as needed.
Rotating weekends and holidays required.
Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
BLS required.
Intravenous Contrast Certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Specialized training in MRI technology and cross-sectional anatomy.
Ability to sustain prolonged periods of sitting, walking, lifting, pulling and/or positioning and transferring patients.
