Job Description: MRI Technologist- Sign -On Bonus Eligible (2300025X)
Description: The MRI Technologist will perform a wide variety of high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) exams while providing excellent patient care.
Sign-On Bonus Available for up to $22,500 for those that qualify.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Graduate of a formal education program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
Minimum Work Experience: 2 years Clinical MR imaging experience in a hospital or outpatient environment (Preferred).
Required Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrates appropriate patient care, technical, procedural, and evaluation skills.
Proficiency in performing a variety of procedures independently, consistently, and effectively.
Skillful operation of imaging equipment and related components.
Good judgment in correlating patient history with scanning protocols.
Knowledge of pediatric imaging protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, professional communication skills, contrast medications used for MR exams, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Programs.
Required Licenses and Certifications: Registered Radiography Technologist (ARRT) Registered Radiography Technologist (ARRT) (R) (MR) (ARRT) certification and registration (Required) Or ARMRIT Certification American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Certification (Required).
Functional Accountabilities:
Clinical and Research Imaging Procedures: Perform all exams efficiently, orient new technologists, monitor exam orders, prioritize patient throughput, review exam schedule, and assist Lead MR technologist and MR Manager.
Quality Control: Verify exam requests, ensure correct patient data, follow procedures, check exam orders and charges, acknowledge and respond to feedback, track scanner data, maintain cleanliness, greet patients/parents, communicate exam procedures clearly, and report customer service issues.
Clinic Safety:
Adhere to OSHA regulations, follow ACR MR Safety guidelines, research implant devices, perform safety checks, conduct Time Outs, inquire about menstrual status and pregnancy, report equipment malfunctions, complete safety courses, and annual reviews.
Communication: Conduct daily huddles, confer with colleagues, review emails, communicate collaboratively, report personnel issues, and ensure a safe environment.
Professional Development: Maintain certifications, attend seminars, provide leadership, participate in QA initiatives and performance improvement projects.
