Micron Systems Integration Group (SIG) provides equipment, PCB-level products, and engineering services that are strategic to Micron. This includes wafer probe test systems, packaged device test systems including burn-in and at-speed as well as associated load/DUT cards.
The position is for the SIG Mechanical Design engineering group that is responsible for all system level structures and primary interconnect pathways utilized in the design of SIG products.
Responsibilities
Manage and drive to completion assigned projects
Gather data and requirements to solve engineering problems
Design experiments to prove out the use of new materials and methods
Conduct experiments to validate field problems and test-out solutions
Design and execute experiments to find root cause
Author reports on work performed and present findings to the team
Generate data manipulation scripts and macros to support finding and conclusions
Operate lab equipment to perform data collection and experiments
Preferred Qualifications
Self-motivated to solve engineering problems
Knowledge of mechanical and materials properties
Knowledge of electrochemistry and metal corrosion
Experience with lab instruments including CMM, Texture analyzers, data loggers, and DMMs.
Good written and oral communication skills
Experience with spreadsheets
Experience with statistical process control
Good chemistry fundamentals with good understanding of REDOX reactions
Education
BS in Material Science or equivalent degreed program
