Scope of work
The PI Clinical Reviewer collects, analyzes, and reports clinical data elements for the Michigan Trauma Quality Improvement Program MTQIP/TQIP eligible cases as required for participation in the MTQIP/TQIP, a BCBS/Blue Care Network of Michigan funded Collaborative Quality Initiative (CQI).
The chief responsibility of the Clinical Reviewer is to work collaboratively with the trauma program registry staff, clinical staff, and the trauma program manager to collect and submit reliable data to MTQIP/TQIP in a timely manner.
This is accomplished through high-quality data compilation, validation, documentation, and entry into the trauma registry on all MTQIP/TQIP eligible patients.
Under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager and in collaboration with trauma registry personnel the Clinical Reviewer work to develop and implement standard practices, policies, and procedures that support effective and efficient capture of data that are valid and reliable.

Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent BSN
5 years of relevant experience Requires a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a RN or equivalent (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant).
Required
2 years of relevant experience two to three years of experience in a trauma care or related setting.
Preferred
Teaching and or leadership experience.
Required
Previous experience with data abstraction from medical records and/or analyzing and interpreting processes of care and clinical outcomes.

Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association preferred Or
