A Little More About What You Will be DoingThe Multi-Modality Technologist provides the essential service of generating images of the body for diagnostic purposes with diagnostic imaging equipment as advised by Radiologists, in accordance with the company policies and procedure manuals utilizing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) modality and one or more of the following modalities: Computed Tomography (CT) and/or Fluoroscopy.Prepares and checks patients prior to Imaging procedure. Accurately screens all patients and personnel prior to admittance into the MR magnet roomAcquires patient questionnaire, chart, data/requisition and reviews all to determine contraindication of having Imaging examinationVerifies and validates patient screening safety form including allergies. Performs Imaging procedures required per protocol, daily QA/QC and calibrationPerforms venipunctures, draws specimens and maintains competenciesEducates patients regarding Imaging procedures, equipment and examPrepares and administers appropriate paramagnetic contrast media for Imaging examEnsures patients' comfort and safety during and after the examMay assist with scheduling of patients as neededAcquires, archives, transmits and prints images via PACS. When applicable, completes after hours transmission of images and appropriate paperworkMaintains available equipment up-time. Applies knowledge of radiation physics and safety regulations to limit radiation exposure of the public, patients, fellow workers and self to as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA)May be required to rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locationsQualifications  EducationAssoc. Degree/College Diploma required. Completion of course in Radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Experience2 years' experience in NM and CT requiredExperience in both MRI and CT imaging modalities preferred Licenses/CertificationsImaging Registered Rad Tech (ARRT)  California Certificate in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB)Imaging CA Radiologic Tech (ARRT) CT requiredFluoroscopy License requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association or American Red Cross required About UsCedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
