Position Type: Business/Clerical/English Language Acquisition Student Support Analyst Date Posted: 9/30/2024 Location: District Office Closing Date: 10/11/2024 Multicultural/Multilingual Student Support Analyst Hourly salary range: $22.77 to $25.12 Contract months: 11 Salary Grade: 21 Hours per day: 8 Purpose The job of Student Support Analyst is done for the purpose(s) of providing support for Student Services and the Grants & Federal Programs division by supporting the district, and sites with meeting federal grant goals relating to student achievement, student organizations, student assessment, data reporting and Program of Studies.
Qualifications Required: A high school diploma or General Educational Development diploma (GED).
Must possess and maintain a Department of Public Safety (DPS) Identity Verified Print (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Two (2) years of experience in a professional office or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education (including internships and/or work-based learning) from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Ability to develop and evaluate academic and fiscal solutions based upon a variety of best available data sources.
Ability to conduct data driven decision making & evaluation.
Ability to maintain confidential materials and information.
Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations, and rules.
May be required to work outside normal working hours.
Experience in training adult learners preferred.
Must be able to travel for the purpose of training and evaluation of Federal programs within the District, community, state, and country.
Must be able to type using tough typing method.
Must be able to use 10-key pad and/or electronic calculator.
Must be willing to obtain additional training for job requirements.
Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Essential Functions Analyze career development and reporting data in order to evaluate Federal Programs.
Disaggregate data to ensure program compliance with federal and state regulations for Program Performance Measures and Programs of Study.
Generate and manage student master list with demographic information that includes special needs and free and reduced lunch status for enrollment reports, as mandated by Federal grants.
Compile and prepare various Federal program forms, files, reports, and records from a variety of reference sources.
Assist in the accurate identification and monitoring of students enrolled in Federal programs.
Assist in monitoring and training Student Organization sponsors to ensure compliance with grant stipulations.
Creates and processes personnel action requests (PARs) as they relate to the district department.
Enter and maintain all Federal program records in the District adopted platform and automated web-based systems.
Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
Skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications; planning and managing projects; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
Specific skill-based competencies include: skill in creating, preparing, and managing a variety of documents for distribution; skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, vendors, and others having business with the school district; and skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of hardware, software applications, and peripheral office equipment.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions.
Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: business telephone etiquette; knowledge of general office operations and records and database management; knowledge of spreadsheets, including managing tables with functions of sorting, subtotals, conditional statements, and use of formulas; knowledge of the principles of Business English, grammar, spelling, and preparation of correspondence.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; gather and/or collate data; and use basic, job-related equipment.
Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods.
