Summary:
Assist MSK physicians in providing high-quality patient care while also exhibiting strong customer service skills to our patients and the overall MSK Program.
Responsibilities:
Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks such as: lab tracking and data entry document management obtaining patient histories and vital signs verifying medication lists preparing charts and pre-visit planning
Performs routine specialized procedures related to MSK services
Understands all MSK resources available to patients and educates patients when appropriate
Communicates to the appropriate Coastal program or office when necessary
Work quality reports to ensure gaps of care are closed and maintain consistent quality scores
Ensures documentation is collected from outside providers involved in the care of MSK patients
Understands durable medical equipment (DME) referrals and maintains stock levels for supplies as needed
Practices safety environmental and/or infection control methods
Complies with OSHA and DOH standards
Complies with federal and local confidentiality laws including HIPAA ensuring patient privacy
Adheres to Brown Health Medical Group Primary Care guidelines for protecting patients* demographic clinical and financial information
Provides superior customer service and outstanding patient care
Attend meetings/workshops as they relate to current position and office workflows
Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
