Position Purpose This is a Leadager position that the Prohibition Museum Manager keeps to the company's mission statement to be The Nation's Storyteller. This is accomplished by using historical research, theatrical direction, and creativity to write and improve scripts and museum tour presentations; find sources for props and costumes; and audition and train the actors and historytellers. This position requires a good sense of responsibility to lead and manage others with the ability to motivate staff and promote a harmonious workplace.

Requirements & Essential Functions Manage the practical, maintenance, and logistical needs of the museum.Manage and supervise staff to achieve goals; plan and organize workloads and staff assignments; auditions/interviews, approve hires and transfers; train, counsel, motivate, discipline, and evaluate assigned staff; review progress and direct changes as needed. Report employee relations issues such as severe employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints to the local HR Manager or to the Director of Attractions in their absence.Assist in design, development, and maintain a successful operation of all actor-related performance tours.Know the current script, route, and staging for all actor-related tours and productions.Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales control systems.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Business or equivalent is preferred.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.Interest in history is helpful.Other Requirements Must pass pre-employment, MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record for past three years.Pass annual MVR check.Able to obtain a City of Savannah Server Card.Successful candidate must pass a background search.
