About the Role
Teaching music at Merryhill School is a unique experience. It allows the teacher to lay a musical foundation for young students to become lifelong appreciators of all types of music. Music teachers collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and integrate the core knowledge curriculum within the music program, such as music history.
You will also…
Plan, supervise, and implement curriculum for our Preschool classrooms
Collaborate with other faculty and staff members
Assist teachers with the use of rhythm instruments
Introduce young students to the piano, specifically
Play piano for classroom performances
What We Are Looking For
A Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred; a high school diploma is required
Piano proficiency and sight reading expertise required
Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred
