Job Description
Performs music therapy services in a professional and compassionate manner utilizing music therapy techniques appropriate for the individual patient and for groups; documents each session in the patient's electronic medical chart (Epic); provides referrals for additional therapies when appropriate and necessary.
Participates as an integral member of an inter disciplinary health care team.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in music therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Music Therapy Association.
Current board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists or board certification is obtained within three months of hire. Maintain current certification and renew every 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing music therapy in a hospital and/or health care setting.
Advanced certifications.
