Responsibilities
• Schedule and coordinate transportation for personnel and equipment• Ensure cargo and Soldiers reach required destinations• Oversee scheduling of heavy trucks, semi-tractor trailers, troop transports, and buses• Advise constituents of shipment and travel entitlements• Request and coordinate transport capability• Mark, document, and inventory freight and material shipments• Operate automated data terminal equipment• Arrange documentation and reports
Requirements
• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35• Must be able to pass a physical exam• Must meet legal and moral standards• Must meet citizenship requirements
Key Skills Needed
• Interest in motor vehicles, aircraft, and ocean liner vessels• Experience in coordinating transportation• Interest in planning events and working with people
