SCC INSPECTION COMPANY NDE TECHICIAN II - PAUT The NDT Technician performs various inspection examinations on several types of assets from several different industries. Technicians provide detailed inspection through timely reports, and through regular and deliberate communication with the customers or their representative(s). Duties & ResponsibilitiesActively participate in Company and Client safety programsDemonstrate ability to effectively perform assigned NDT/NDE inspections and related tasksSet up, calibrate, and utilize various equipmentEnsure strict adherence to safety, health, quality, and operation guidelines and proceduresRecognize potential hazards and roadblocks and work strategically to overcome themBuild organized and complete inspection reports in a timely mannerComplete daily paperwork and forms as assignedPerform other tasks as assignedMentor technician assistants to build consistency among the teamComplete time sheets, inventories, equipment reports and other reports weeklyBuild strong industry relationships QualificationsWillingness to travel, position is based in the Salt Lake City area, but some projects may require overnight travelCertified or Certifiable as Level II in NDT/NDE methods (PAUT required)ASNT LV II PT & MT is preferredSkill in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.) is preferredSelf-motivated and reliableAbility to self-direct work scheduleLeadership abilitySuccess in working on small teamsAbility to share on-the-job knowledge with othersAbility to communicate with multiple personality typesMust be able to pass a drug test and obtain TWIC cardMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license Additional Information This position reports to the Field Operations ManagerPrevious experience in oil/gas industry is preferred Base location is Salt Lake City AreaCompensation is negotiable based on experience
