St. John Medical Center is seeking two experienced full time certified Neonatal, Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioners in beautiful Longview, Washington. The Nurse Practitioners will respond to the growing newborn population needs, in the Level II Nursery, and work in collaboration with the robust team of Family Medicine with Obstetrics Physicians, OBGYN's, and Pediatricians at St. John Medical Center. The ideal candidates will have a Neonatal certification and three to five years of Neonatal Nurse Practitioner experience. Highlights about the practice opportunity:Core Functions: Rounding on all newborns on a LVL II Nursery. There is not a NICU on-site. PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, is a LVL III NICU, and can transfer patients as needed.Respond to neonatal resuscitation (including intubation) for all deliveriesManage and have oversight for other newborn conditions that are currently transferred out for, thus, keeping patients within Longview and families together, as intended. Phototherapy, IV glucose support, IV antibiotics, and Short duration CPAPNeonatologist Telemedicine support Schedule: Variable: Two twelve-hour NOC shifts per weekOne onsite twenty four-hour shift once per two weeksNo Call EPIC EMR with on-site: Medical Social Workers, Dietitians, Clinical Pharmacist, Diabetic Specialists, Hospice & Palliative Care Specialists, Phlebotomist, Behavioral Health, In-house Controlled Substance Management and Chronic Care Coordination Teams Experience Longview, Washington: Forbes Magazine listed Longview as one of the prettiest towns in America due to its proximity to the Columbia River, Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, and many beautiful local parks.Lake Sacajawea, directly across from St. John Medical Center is in the heart of Longview.
