Responsibilities:
Assists in the formulation and definition of system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains application program.
Contributes to the development of project plans and timelines.
Provides estimates for planned work.
Establish an open relationship with customers, teammates, and other members of the IT organization.
Expectations: A thorough understanding of Underwriting and Claim concepts is a plus.
Complete assigned tasks as directed in a timely manner using good object-oriented coding practices and standards.
Unit test code for proper functionality Follow the established standards, patterns, and processes.
Participate in team planning activities.
The Risk Solutions IT Team is working on several new and exciting projects in support of the new and rapidly growing Risk Solutions Business Unit.
We are seeking a self-motivated developer that can quickly learn new concepts and tools.
While the Key Technologies list represents the toolset our team utilizes, do not be hesitant to apply for this position if you do not have experience in all areas listed.
Key Technologies: Angular JS, C#, EF Core SQL Server, T-SQL Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitHub, Rally Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery Test-driven development, Automated deployments Experience with JSON, XML, and other data formats.
Experience with service-oriented architecture and APIs.
Qualifications: Familiarity and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum is preferred.
Ability to perform in a challenging but collaborative work environment with individuals from across the organization.
Integrates multiple concepts across job functions with a goal of overall benefit to the organization.
Ability to communicate, develop and leverage strategic business relationships across the organization and externally.
Requires advanced technical and business knowledge.
