We need great network professionals to help us manage the remarkable challenge and opportunity in these environments.

As a Network Architecture Intern, you will actively develop and execute test plans that exercise our existing and proposed network solutions for our network backbone, our Corporate offices, our creative production workflows, and our data center networks. This will be hands-on work in our test lab creating, executing and documenting test procedures and subsequent results while also helping to refine the overall testing program for our network ecosystem.

Who are you?

Current student pursuing a Graduate or PhD degree in a technical field such as Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Data Science or related field
You must have an expected graduation date around December 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026

Candidates with significant relevant work experience (3+ years) may not be considered. While prior internships are okay, we may not consider candidates with multiple years of relevant work experience.

Basic understanding of network and system design along with networking protocols.

Coursework or relative experience with data structures, algorithms, and SQL query language (bonus if you've completed at least one of these courses: Distributed Systems, Statistical Modeling, Data Management, Data Visualization, Network Security, Networking)

Fluent in any one of the following programming languages: Python, Go, Java

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to haves:

Knowledge or experience with network infrastructure, routers, switches, firewalls, optical transceivers

Experience with supporting end users (helpdesk or NOC)

Experience with network simulation tools

Experience with lab or data center environments

Knowledge or experience of CDN (Understanding of DNS, traffic management and multi-host web servers - Host header/SNI)

Internships are paid and are a minimum of 12 weeks, with a choice of a few fixed start dates in May or June 2025 to accommodate varying school calendars. Conditions permitting, our 2025 summer internships will be located in our Los Gatos, CA office, or in our Los Angeles, CA office, depending on the team.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

The overall market range for Netflix Internships is typically $40/hour - $80/hour.
