Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The C2BMC National Team provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Contract. C2BMC is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System and links various sensors and weapon systems. The system provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against multiple ranges of threats and in all phases of flight. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will be part of the Cyber and Platform (CAP) Information Technology team and assist the senior system administrators and government network subject matter experts with the management and sustainment of network components supporting associated support networks.
HARD REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
o Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers.
o Familiarity with network communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
o Knowledge of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing. Understanding of network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting.
o Basic knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls. Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis and troubleshooting experience. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
o Candidate must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification with any of the following certifications (Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
PREFERRED SKILLS:
o The following are experiences that are positives / pluses for the candidate, but not required for filling the position.
o If individual has any prior knowledge of the C2BMC networks or organization.
o If candidate has knowledge, skill sets or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (e.g., Wireshark).
o Experience in Network Management Systems (HP Network Node Manager or Solarwinds or NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp, or Gigastore).
o Certifications in the industry vendor Juniper or Cisco a plus
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
