In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security appliances and solutions. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the security and efficiency of our clients' network infrastructure. You will collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to maintain high availability and performance of network systems. This role is based at the client site in Beaumont, TX.
\n A Day in the Life:Implement and manage Fortinet firewall solutions, including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager, to safeguard the network against security threats.Configure and deploy Fortinet appliances following best practices and company policies, ensuring optimal performance and security.Assist with designing networking systems for both IT and operational technology (OT) and support the implementation of these systems based on the enacted design.Continuously monitor network traffic and security events using Fortinet tools, identify and resolve issues promptly to maintain network integrity.Analyze network performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and speed.Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents, ensuring it is up-to-date and readily available.Work with IT teams to integrate Fortinet solutions with existing network infrastructure. Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.Ensure all network operations comply with industry standards and company policies, including data protection regulations and security best practices. What You Bring:5+ years of relevant experience in network administration, with a strong focus on Fortinet products.In-depth knowledge of network security principles and best practices.Proven experience in configuring and managing Fortinet appliances, particularly FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager.Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.Familiarity with compliance standards and data protection regulations.
