Job Description
Network Engineer for Ashburn Consulting, LLC to report to our Leesburg, VA HQ loc. but working at multiple unanticipated locs in USA. May telecommute up to 2 days per week and more frequently as necessary.
Implement & manage Network Infrastructure for WAN Backbone & Edge sites.
Perform Router, Switch & Firewall upgrades to customer edge sites & Data Centers.
Provide technical support & escalation support to Gov't Network Team.
Work w/ a team to support operational needs of organization & ensure services to the enterprise network are not impacted.
Provide on-call support for Network & Security Operations.
Troubleshoot Network issues/solutions to support communications needs of client.
Perform routine (daily or weekly) preventative maintenance to proactively resolve network equipment issues before they arise.
Occasional evening & weekend hours may be req'd. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
May undergo background checks.
Salary: $120,000 to $130,000.
Qualifications
Must have Bachelors in Comp Sci, related Engineering, or other related field.
3 years relevantexp in Network Engineering or Network Administration; and required skills.
Requires skills (3 years exp) in: Cisco router and switch; network routing protocols, IP addressing and network infrastructure and network hardware; Implement new/troubleshoot connectivity issues for network equipment to provide reliable connectivity for servers/applications; network operating systems; Visio for network diagramming.
