Overview Frontgrade is seeking an experienced Sr. Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience. Please review the duties and responsibilities and apply today! Under limited supervision, the Network Systems Engineer will perform a variety of routine to complex duties in support of the business and manufacturing sections. The network engineer will be designing, maintaining, monitoring, and documenting the LAN and WAN of FG's sites. You will be managing the hardware and software of networking and networking related systems. The network engineer will have a deep understanding of the TCP/IP, SD WAN in a hybrid multi-cloud environment. Has the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to SD Wan, LAN, wireless controllers, access points, switches, firewalls, routers, web security, and other networking related technologies deployed in the Frontgrade environment. The network engineer will partner with other network engineers, service delivery, other infrastructure and security teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues. This hybrid position required some on site time and would require up to 15% travel per year. Responsibilities YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintaining computer networks that support hybrid GovCloud infrastructure switches, routers and other physical hardware Installing and configuring network equipment Ability to multi-task with outstanding communication/people skills Ability to learn and retain technical information. Expert in SD Wan/extended to cloud, routing, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnet design Responsible for thoroughly compiling, and maintaining of all site documentation including admin, operation and user guides, network diagrams, etc. Maintaining Frontgrade network and security standards throughout the organization. Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and other networking related issues independently Responsible for updating and maintaining all equipment in Frontgrade monitoring and backup systems. Backup of all switches, firewalls and any other network and related devices used to support users connectivity and network security at the sites. Perform disaster recovery and restoration from backup when required. Perform hardware replacement when needed. Monitor network performance and suggests improvements if needed. Assist other teams with diagnosing and resolving issues. Assist in IT projects as necessary. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and other resources. Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization. A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Dependable and flexible when necessary. Qualifications HOW TO SUCCEED Minimum Requirements: Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field of study with a network engineering focus OR 4 additional years of experience as a network engineer and industry certifications. 5+ years of network infrastructure, network hardware and software. 5+ years of experience with the ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless controllers and access points, firewall, routers, switches 5+ years of LAN and WAN experience. 5+ years of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. 5+ years of experience with creation of accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. 5+ years of network security experience. 5+ years of experience supporting a global network including firewall administration. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in network or firewall related discipline. preferred Cisco CCNA and/or Palo Alto PSNSA certification preferred ITIL Foundation preferred Vendor and contract managment SALARY $93,569-$$116,961 annually BENEFITS We take care of our people and provide competitive health, wealth and wellbeing benefits – from day one.
