The candidate will be a Network Engineer for a brand-new enterprise WAN solution: DarkStar! The candidate will be responsible for the successful implementation, integration and support of a multi-site classified network with a variety of different locations and vendor hardware. Responsibilities for Network Engineer include but not limited to configuration and management of Cisco switches and routers, Juniper and Palo Alto FW and support to system administration team in deployment of new sites. Knowledge and familiarity with Storage Hardware and System configuration is desired.
Candidate must be comfortable working in environment supporting a large number of different platforms which range from enterprise servers to small/midsize servers and supercomputers. Candidate will be responsible for system installations, upgrades, configurations, hardware installation, and troubleshooting. Candidate will ultimately support the operations center for successful sustainment operations. Candidate must be willing to travel when required.

Basic Qualifications:
• DoD SECRET Clearance
• Security + Certification
• Experience with configuration and management of Cisco Routers and switches for new networks.
• Experience with configuration and management of Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, IP configuration, peer-to-peer networking and IP addressing and subnetting
• Experience with Cisco VOiP systems and architectures
• Understanding of system architectures and multi-site connections
• Experience with interaction of servers, switches and firewall interconnections
• Familiarity with packet analysis software such as Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
• Demonstrated experience to identify and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and colleagues to communicate requirements in a clear, precise and actionable manner
• Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement
• Capable of building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts
Desired Skills:
• Software-defined data center networking (e.g. Cisco ACI, VMware VSX, Big Switch Big Cloud Fabric)
• OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes experience
• Experience implementing and sustaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Certificate Authorities (CAs) and Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs)
• Working understanding of IPSEC VPN technology; implementation experience on at least one of the Cisco or Juniper product lines is strongly preferred
• Experience with NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC)
• High performance computing experience
• Virtual Routing and Forwarding experience
• Intrusion detection system/intrusion prevention system experience
• Experience managing vendor relationships for break/fix, root cause analysis, escalations, and technology refresh
• Linux and/or UNIX shell scripting
• Infrastructure experience with racks, power, cooling, and storage

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
