Be the difference.Job SummaryThis job, under the direction of a radiologist or physician performs peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical data. The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. AccountabilitiesPerforms all procedures proficiently and strives to maintain high quality. 10%Assists Radiologists and/or Physician with invasive procedures using aseptic/sterile technique. 10%Properly prepares and administers contrast materials associated with imaging procedures that are within the scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol. 10%Prepares scan room for procedures using approved cleaning protocol. Appropriately discards sharps and maintains adequate level of supplies and linen.10%Assures that proper radiation safety measures are being utilized. 10%Knows and implements emergency procedures as needed. 10%Performs department and hospital related computer functions pertinent to job. Enters and records data accurately and promptly. Exhibits competency in performing QC tasks associated with equipment and procedures and ensures standards are met according to state and federal regulations. 10%Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift 10%Provides clinical instruction to student and staff technologists.10%Participates independently in call rotation. 10%Minimum RequirementsGraduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. 1 year experience in Interventional Technology or related experience.
