Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide state-of-the-art neurologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Conduct thorough consultations at local hospitals across various neurological issues. Perform and interpret critical diagnostic tests including EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies. Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, vascular surgeons, and hospital-based Stroke Teams to deliver comprehensive and cohesive patient care. Utilize and coordinate with onsite imaging services like CT and MRI, and integrate insights from the IAC-accredited Vascular Laboratory for carotid duplex imaging. Facilitate and enhance patient referrals to specialized tertiary or academic centers for complex neurological cases. Participate in innovative teleneurology approaches for effective stroke management as needed. Minimum Position Qualifications: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology. Proven expertise in managing a wide range of adult neurological conditions. Demonstrated clinical proficiency in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Preferred Qualifications: Subspecialty interests within Neurology are considered a strong asset. Hands-on experience with EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies is highly valued. Familiarity and previous experience with teleneurology for stroke management are preferred. Skills: Strong collaborative and team-oriented approach to patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and patients. Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in neurological care and diagnostics.
