PAY RANGE: $30.02 - $45.28
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Neurologist evaluates, diagnoses, treats, provides consultation, and care to patients presenting with illnesses or injuries or impaired function of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, muscles, and autonomic nervous system, as well as the blood vessels that relate to these structures. The Neurologist performs electro-physiologic testing such as, but not limited to electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies (NCS) and interpretation of tests.
Education:
Medical degree from an accredited school. Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved postgraduate training program of at least three years duration. Successful completion of requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for certification in Neurology. Maintains appropriate Continuing Medical Education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.
Experience:
Two (2) or more years of neurology experience preferred.
Licensure/Credentials:
Board certified in Neurology or active participation in the examination process leading to certification. Recertifies at appropriate intervals per specialty board requirements. Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington. Maintains current DEA registration. Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
