Duties and responsibilities Develops and improves warehouse processes and procedures.
Supervises shipping activities.
Completes shipping tasks as needed.
Tracks in-bound and out-bound inventory.
Orders new supplies and equipment.
Collaborates with the customer service team and other departments.
Escalates issues to managers and recommends potential solutions.
Ensures the team follows company policies and procedures.
Makes sure the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.
Handle all products with care to avoid damages and loss Open bales, crates and other containers using a box cutter.
Use pump pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, sit-down hi-lo forklift, stand-up hi-lo forklift and safety ladders to select products from warehouse shelves and prepare pallets.
Fill out pre and post trip sheets for forklifts and pallet jacks.
Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
Assist with equipment maintenance, data entry and computer related tasks as needed Take initiative to accomplish open tasks; be proactive and seek additional work when available Safety: Complete safety training session and pass safety training test at time of hire and on an annual basis.
Safety: Act in compliance with safety practices and procedures throughout the warehouse.
Report any safety concerns to Warehouse Manager.
Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop as needed.
Maintain positive work relations; support team work and help coworkers to accomplish team goals Listen and communicate respectfully with employees at all levels within the organization and outside vendors Attendance; Maintain regular attendance and follow call out and time off procedures as outlined in the handbook.
Comply with company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the Night Warehouse team or as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications 2 Yrs.
min verifiable manager/supervisor experience overseeing 20 or more employees Solid computer skills and experience with ops systems with the ability to navigate with confidence Bi-lingual Ability to communicate in a professional and literate manner Ability to be a leader, take control, own and be accountable for shift operations and associates Ability to make good/solid business decisions Ability to trouble shoot, assess situations and think outside the box Ability to gather, manage and maintain shift reports Ability to think outside the box Experience with warehouse safety and compliance as well as OSHA rules & regulations Ability to learn and perform every position on the shift Ability to take direction, procedures, protocols and implement them on a daily basis.
Ability to assess employee productivity to manage efficiency and cost Someone who can be all business and command the respect and loyalty of the team Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Prior work experience in a warehouse setting or as a selector Prior Supervisor Training Experience with fork lifts and/or pallet jacks and RF scanners Working conditions

Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment.
This role routinely uses equipment such as sit-down and stand-up hi-lo fork lifts, pump and electric pallet jacks, ladders and RF scanner guns.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Days of work are Sunday through Thursday.
Hours of work are approximately forty (40) or more hours per week.
The night shift starts at approximately 6:00pm and ends when workload is complete and trucks are ready for delivery.
This position may occasionally require longer hours when workload or project deadlines require it.
Travel- Travel is not required for this role.
