MSEIT Sustainment SE (NL-24-039): nLogic is seeking an innovative, creative and highly-motivated engineer to support a MILSATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) within the US Space Force's (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO.
The candidate will support sustainment activities for a diverse portfolio of strategic and tactical MILSATCOM space systems and infrastructure. The candidate will provide systems engineering and integration expertise in support of legacy space constellations including, but not limited to, Milstar, Advanced Enhanced High Frequency (AEHF) and Enhanced Polar System (EPS) and associated ground infrastructure, warfighter terminals and software applications such as Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T), Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (Global-ASNT), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS) and Ground Multiband Terminal (GMT) along with various other systems, subsystems and devices in a multidisciplinary environment. The candidate will also have a direct impact on new MILSATCOM space systems transitioning from the acquisition community to operational stakeholders.

The candidate will have a positive, tangible effect across all aspects of the space system (spacecraft, uplinks/downlinks, command & control, networks, users) while improving overall combat readiness.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force's Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force's acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline 5+ years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships 4+ years of experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment 5+ years of experience in architecture/requirements definition/analysis, acquisitions, engineering/design, fielding/integration, and verification or analysis 4+ years of relevant systems engineering experience 4+ years of relevant systems integration experience 4+ years of relevant experience engaging government customers to advance projects and initiatives at varying degrees of complexity through engineering management Must be able to demonstrate engineering principles and concepts Expertise with requirements development and analysis, and the development of systems engineering-related documents including requirements/specifications, interface control documents, and validation & verification plans Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; able to sort through complex issues and develop clear solutions, provide in-depth technical assessments and identify issues and risks Effective interpersonal and team player skills in order to engage at both the peer and management levels Ability to coordinate with numerous stakeholders/customers from DoD agencies to commercial industry Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills; able to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to the customer Highly-organized individual, capable of handling multiple competing priorities; able to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a dynamic environment Must be a US Citizen and have an active DOD Secret required to be considered for the position Preferred Skills and Experience: 6+ years of experience in a DoD program office with understanding of DoD acquisition processes and compliance with government instructions; especially prior military/civilian experience working with space systems 6+ years of experience working with strategic & tactical MILSATCOM space systems (spacecraft, uplinks/downlinks, command & control, networks and/or user communities) Knowledge of Digital Engineering (DE) or Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) applications (i.e., SparxEA, Cameo, etc) Current International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) certification (i.e. ASEP, CSEP) Knowledge of Agile software development processes and applications (i.e., Jira/Confluence) This position requires a SECRET Security Clearance. This is a full-time position located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO.
Compensation for Colorado: Starting salary ranges from approximately $95,000 to $115,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
