We are seeking either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse to join us as a Nurse Supervisor.
This position provides clinical leadership and supervisory support for all three nursing units at Helen Porter - Memory Care, Long Term Care and Post-Acute Care.
Hours for this position will be 10:45pm - 7:15am.
This position is eligible for shift differentials:
E vening: $3.00 per hour
Night: $5.00 per hour
Weekend $2.00 per hour (in addition to any applicable evening or night differentials)
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks Provide supervision of the nursing staff.
Promote collaboration and teamwork through staff coaching and mentoring.
Monitor staffing levels and make adjustments as appropriate or clinically indicated.
Conduct safety rounds on all three nursing units while on duty.
Assist with clinical assessments and interventions as needed.
Serve as a point person with any significant change in condition that results in death or transfer to an acute care facility.
Communicate important information to next shift charge nurse.
Communicate facility issues, concerns or grievances to the appropriate contact person.
Initiate investigation of resident or family member grievances.
Interpret, support, and enforce facility policies and procedures.
Participate and support quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
Registered Nurse - Nocturnal Nurse Supervisor
The hourly rate range for the Nocturnal Nurse Supervisor, RN is $37.85 - $56.78 Qualified RNs in this position is eligible for a $6,000 sign on bonus.
The bonus will be paid out in two installments: the first paycheck and after completion of one year of satisfactory employment.Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.
Educational Requirements Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN license in good standing, recognized by The State of Vermont State Board of Nursing.
Experience One or more years of experience in post-acute or long-term care as a Registered Nurse.
One year of supervisory experience with demonstrated clinical skills and decision-making capabilities.
Licensed Practical Nurse- Nocturnal Nurse Supervisor
The hourly rate range for the Nocturnal Nurse Supervisor, LPN is $31.39- $47.08 Qualified LPNs in this position are eligible a $4,500 sign on bonus.
The bonus will be paid out in three equal installments: 90 days, 1 years, 2 years.

Educational Requirements Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current LPN license in good standing, recognized by The State of Vermont State Board of Nursing.
Experience Three or more years of experience in post-acute or long-term care as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
One year of supervisory experience with demonstrated clinical skills and decision-making capabilities.
