Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities: Block Schedule: 7 on / 7 offSchedule: 12-hour onsite shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AMConduct hospital rounds on all patients referred to the serviceProvide patient care in a manner consistent with hospital medical staff by-laws and referring physician requestsCommunicates with families, referring physicians, specialists, administration and hospital departments in the care and treatment of patients referred to the serviceWork with hospitals and clinical staff, social services, utilization management and other members of the interdisciplinary teamsCollaborates with interdisciplinary team to discuss patients progress, variances and achievement of expected outcomes and plan of careAssumes responsibility to ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and timely including medical records, billing/coding and any other such documentation as requested by hospital from time to timeAttends and completes all specific competencies and annual organizational requirementsRequired Qualifications: Unrestricted California State Medical License or ability to attain prior to startCurrent California DEA certificate or ability to attain prior to startBE/BC Internal MedicineEMR proficientSelf-starter with ability to practice with a high degree of independenceStrong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications: Managed Care and Medi-Cal experience desirableCalifornia Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $288,631 to $385,254 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
