Geisinger Heart & Vascular Institute is recruiting for a clinical non-invasive cardiologist to join the Geisinger Wyoming Valley team in Wilkes Barre, PA. Interventional echocardiography expertise and experience is preferred. The successful candidate will have clinical and academic responsibilities within the Non-Invasive Cardiology section of the Department of Cardiology. The candidate shall also help facilitate quality, performance improvement and growth of the structural imaging program. Required to perform a full scope of duties including transthoracic and transesophageal echo interpretation including imaging for guidance of interventional procedures (TAVI, MitraClip, PASCAL,LAAO occlusion, hemodynamic support devices), stress echocardiography, and advanced techniques such as strain and 3D echocardiography. Must enjoy an academic environment and teaching residents and fellows. Eligible for appointment to the appropriate academic rank at The Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Interest in clinical research a plus, but not mandatory. Preferred Level III training as well as current or anticipated Board Certification in Echocardiography with fellowship experience in structural imaging.
